There are many talented magicians and mentalists in Mexico like Joe and Moy, who stand out for their high-impact performances and connection with the audience. However, when it comes to international recognition, only one has left a mark in the world of magic.
The only Mexican magician to have won the prestigious award at the world's most important magic competition, the International Federation of Magic Societies (FISM), is Juan Carlos Rodarte. This historic triumph for Mexican magicians occurred in 1997 in Dresden, Germany , when Rodarte won a prize in the Magic of Invention category.
Since then, no other Mexican magician or mentalist has managed to match this feat.
Ednovi, the magician and illusionist, was invited to the prestigious FISM gala concert in Lisbon, Portugal, in 2000. Although Ednovi did not compete, his invitation to this event is a testament to the international recognition of his talent and the impact his work has had on the magic world.
